"Fantastic Support"
Wouldn’t you know it, my fridge and tumble dryer both decided to quit on me the same day. I reached out to my insurance and chatted with a really nice lady who guided me in filing two claims simultaneously. They were super friendly and got both issues sorted out quickly. Big thanks to the customer service team!

"My Experience with Home Emergency Coverage"
I’ve got a Home Emergency policy through ‘Smart Cover’ and recently faced issues with my heating and a leaking water tank. The customer service crew, especially ‘Mike’, was super helpful and efficient in handling my claim. He arranged for engineers to fix both the tank and the boiler. What really surprised me was that Mike called me later to make sure everything was alright and that my heating was back on. I honestly didn’t see that coming, as most companies don’t bother with follow-ups. It felt like he really went the extra mile with his outstanding service. Huge thanks!

"Efficient, understanding, and polite service"
Last August, I signed up for Smart Cover for my elderly parents. They offered a much better deal compared to their previous provider. Still, I had my doubts about how the service would hold up if we ever needed to reach out. Turns out, I had no reason to fret. My parents' boiler broke down, leaving them without hot water or heat. At 87 and 90 years old, that’s a big deal. I called Smart Cover, and within about an hour, an engineer showed up. He needed to grab some parts and promised to return by 11am the next day. True to his word, he came back, and by noon, the boiler was up and running again. The entire experience was seamless. The person who answered my initial call was polite, understanding, and efficient. Plus, Pravin Kataria from Smart Cover followed up with a call to ensure everything was alright. I highly recommend Smart Cover!

"Not Impressed"
The folks on the other end aren’t exactly warm when you need to talk about a product issue that’s supposed to be covered. The way they phrase things feels pretty intimidating, almost like they think you’re just making stuff up. I didn’t get the callback they promised, and I had to reach out three times just to get an engineer scheduled to check out my washer problems. Then, I had to follow up again to actually get it fixed. Someone picked up just to relay a message, but no one followed up with me. There’s a real lack of communication between the engineer, you, and me. They threw two figures at me for the yearly cover just because I made my first claim, which is just nuts. Even Currys lets you pay monthly for coverage, and the price stays the same without needing to pay for the whole year upfront after a claim—what a strange way to handle things! Now I’m thinking about other options. Aaron called me, probably trying to get me to leave some positive feedback, it seems.

"Leak from the toilet tank..."
I noticed a leak coming from the top of the toilet tank. Customer support informed me it was included in the coverage, and I’d get a call after the underwriter reviewed my claim. Then I received a call stating it wasn’t covered since we’re supposed to keep our plumbing in check. I’m thinking of canceling before something major occurs and discovering that’s not included either. Absolutely ridiculous. Stay away.

I just had my boiler serviced for the first time by MAC Heating, the contractor from Smart Cover, and I gotta say, the engineer was top-notch. He was super helpful and really knew his stuff, plus he made sure to tidy up after he was done.

"Initial Service Experience"
I just completed my initial service with Smart Cover, and it all went smoothly. Aag Plumbing stayed in contact and called me on the day. They were super clean and organized. Jason Wills from Smart Cover scheduled the first appointment and made sure to follow up with a call after the service.

"Steer Clear!"
Steer clear!! I've been with this company for more than seven months, and two weeks ago, my washing machine broke down. They collected the full year's insurance payment upfront before sending anyone out. The technician let them know the next day that I would need either a repair or a new machine. All I keep hearing from them is, 'we'll be in touch soon.' Honestly, it was cheaper to just buy a new washing machine than to keep paying for insurance that they don't deliver on in a reasonable time. I'm fed up with calling and just getting told 'soon.' So, I decided to cancel all my other products with them.

"Completely unacceptable"
Completely unacceptable. I'm still waiting since January 23, 2023, even after reaching out for a fix on December 3, 2022. An engineer swapped out a part on December 23, but didn’t bother to check if it was actually working. I called every day during Christmas and New Year. And guess what? I'm still waiting! They say it’ll take six weeks to respond to my complaint email. With two kids aged 5 and 7, we’ve got no heat and no hot water. Stay away!

"Been with Smart Cover since I got my place..."
I've been with Smart Cover since I moved into my house back in 2017, and everything's been alright until this year. I asked if I could split my boiler insurance payment over two months, and they agreed to take one payment in January and another in February. Last week, the first payment went through, but then just two days later, another payment was deducted. I called them up, and they apologized, saying they would refund the extra charge, but they haven't done it yet. If I wanted to pay them in full, I would have done so. I'm a pretty upset customer 😡😡, but thankfully, it’s finally been sorted out. Just a shame it took so long.

"Frustrated with the cold service..."
Setting up the job was super quick, and the engineer showed up the very next day to check out the issue. Sadly, he didn’t communicate back to the company, so I had to follow up and explain what he had told me. Then, I had to wait another full day for the right department to give the green light on my claim. And let me tell ya, this week is one of the coldest of the month; being without heat and hot water has been a total nightmare. I had to turn on all my heating devices, and I’m wondering who’s gonna cover that bill because it’s definitely adding up. I ended up talking to a rather rude individual (who claimed to be a manager) who just said it’s 48 hours without an alternative. I reminded him that it’s mid-winter, not summer, where I could manage a bit better. He didn’t seem to care at all. I really think this 48-hour rule shouldn’t apply during winter; it’s called a home emergency for a reason, and it ought to be treated as such.
